Ghost busters Inquisition

             Do you believe in ghost stories? We are not aware of these spectra wander among us. But what is a fact is that ghostbusters exist and science has made available a series of technological tools to study and conduct research of these entities from beyond that often cannot be explained.

                As part of the premiere of the new version of the Ghostbusters movie, we take a look at this group of real-life paranormal phenomena. These experts are dedicated exclusively to document paranormal phenomena and try to find explanations to them.

             These are teams of people who usually respond to the call for help from those who experiment with “presences” that they cannot explain, whether in their homes, work areas and other places.

            One of those teams is known as Dead of Night Paranormal Investigations. These days, BBC Mundo reviewed one of his interventions: The staff of a restaurant in the state of Maryland was convinced that they had ghosts in the store, so they contacted them. 

            A few days later, five team members arrived at the premises to investigate the case. After talking with waiters and chefs who claimed to have felt an invisible presence go up and down the stairs of the place they went to work. 

            The researchers positioned video and thermal imaging cameras in the restaurant to try to capture any ghostly movement. Then they turned on the key piece in the ghost hunting kit: the "sound box."

            This hand-sized device quickly scans several radio frequencies which, according to those who believe in it, create a type of energy that spirits can manipulate to express themselves.

            That is when a ghost named Malcolm would have said the word: "Help me."

           As a matter of fact, real-life ghostbusters do not use proton rays to trap entities. They use analog and digital camcorders with infrared rays, thermal imaging cameras, amplified or parabolic microphones, environmental and atmospheric monitors, motion detectors and seismographs.

           One of the instruments that Ghostbusters use the most is a unit known as an "EMF detector." It is assumed that the device detects fluctuations in the levels of magnetic, electrical and radial energy. 

          Leanne Baur, of Dead of Night, clarified that, in real life, the task of hunting ghosts is different from the Hollywood version that is shown in cinemas.

         “There is a very serious aspect. We can't capture spirits, ”he says. "We want to be at peace with the spirits."

          Many researchers have argued that anomalous readings at these levels may be an indication that a ghost is present at the site. However, not everyone agrees.

   Here there is?

          In Puerto Rico, as anthropologist Andrew Álvarez mentioned, there are currently no organized ghostbuster groups. 

         "But in the past, there were," Alvarez said when he was approached by the First Hour on the subject. 

         “I would tell you that since 2011, here (those groups in Puerto Rico) as they disappeared. I don't know if they left or were, ”said the expert in paranormal phenomena.

         According to experts in the field, there are a number of things that can give an indication of the presence of these entities from beyond that inhabit certain places. 

         Some of the manifestations of these spiritual beings can be perceived through knocks on the walls or doors; unexplained falls of objects; electrical appliances that turn on themselves; lights that turn on and off; pleasant or unpleasant odors; extreme heat or glacial cold; shadows that glide briefly; footsteps or steps; translucent human figures; objects that change places and presences that can be perceived even without being mediums.
